Welcome to Science Craft!

How I introduced our new unit-
"In this unit, you are a scientist working in a remote Lab location. You are carrying out scientific experiments, and recording your data to share with the world!"

There was much excitement! Only a few groups have decided on their final experiment, but so far I have-

1. Testing the velocity of a variety of bricks

2. Testing the hardness of a variety of Ores

3. Testing the growth rate of different trees in different biomes

4. Testing the burn time of different wood

5. Testing the velocity of falling animals

6. Testing how quickly a wolf can kill a variety of animals.....

They are totally excited about doing the science, I'm totally excited about two things, their lab notebook and the science complex that William K. and I built!

Here is the information about their lab notebook-

You will be keeping a lab notebook on MineraftEdu. A lab notebook is an important part of any research or engineering project. Used properly, your lab notebook contains a detailed and permanent account of every step of your project, from the initial brainstorming to the final data analysis and research report. Many science projects require a number of steps and multiple trials. By recording the steps of your procedure, your observations, and any questions that arise as you go, you create a record of the project that documents exactly what you did and when you did it.

Some entries in your lab notebook will be things you write, but some will be links to google docs, some will be links to videos that you will make, and some will be links to charts and graphs.

Here are some photos of our lab complex!
